Apple iPhone 8 Rumors, Leaked Images & Expected Features

This year in 2017 Apple will reach 10th year of anniversary of iPhone. So everybody was speculating what may be their anniversary surprise for all Apple lovers across the globe. Well, it is quite clear that Apple is gearing up with its anniversary edition iPhone called iPhone 8 this Fall. The Internet is already buzzing with the speculations and Apple iPhone 8 rumors after imminent device’s leaked images have surfaced online. So here we will take a look at the features and specs that Apple will be bringing for us.

Curved Edges With Touch ID Under Display:

The dummy model of iPhone 8 clearly shows it will go through some major redesign. It will come with an edge to edge display with no Touch ID fingerprint on the rear side. We can assume that Touch ID Fingerprint may be incorporated into the display screen, though Apple seems to have issues with integrating the Touch ID under the display. Apple iPhone 8 rumors also suggest Apple is working on new fingerprint recognition technology. The prototype also features curved edges similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. But we are still unsure about this.

Display Screen Size:

Rumors suggest that Apple iPhone 8 may have a 5.8-inch display where the total usable area will be 5.15 inches. The existing Home button might be replaced with new virtual buttons.

Glass Body:

The recent prototype of forthcoming iPhone 8 is believed to be made of flexible plastic OLED instead of an LCD. This is a good upgrade as it will consume less power with thinner body besides offering better display quality with higher contrast ratio and vibrant colors. Another speculation suggests Apple is going to shift from Aluminium body used in some previous version of iPhones like iPhone 5, 5’s, 6, 6’s, 7, and SE and re-introducing a glass body just like we have seen in iPhone 4.

In fact analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also confirmed Apple will bring at least one iPhone that will be made of glass. The glass body will be built around a polished stainless steel border same as the Apple Watch.

Water Resistance and Dust Protection:

The iPhone 8 may bring IP68 water resistance feature, which is more advanced that the IP67 certification attained by the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Since Samsung’s Galaxy S7, is also IP68 certified, this improvement was definitely necessary for Apple to implement. With IP68 iPhone 8 can survive approximately 1.5 meters of water for at least half an hour while also offering complete dust protection.

As per insider’s report, iPhone 8 just like all other iPhone models which will arrive in 2017 are expected to provide Apple’s A11 chip. The improved A11 chip built on a 10-nanometer FinFET manufacturing process will offer faster and more power efficient performance than the existing A10, manufactured on a 16-nanometer process. So apple iPhone 8 battery life is expected to be far better.

Front Camera:

It is expected that the front-facing camera of the iPhone 8 may bring some “revolutionary” enhancement comprising of three modules. These modules will offer 3D sensing capabilities powered by PrimeSense technology.

Rear Cameras:

As per various sources, Apple may introduce new vertical dual camera system instead of a horizontal dual camera system in OLED iPhone 8. A vertical rear camera will help to take far better photos with iPhone 8.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is well known for predicting Apple’s plans more accurately, has hinted that the iPhone 8 could feature advanced biometric functionalities such as iris scanning, a facial recognition perhaps with the help of a new front-facing camera system. These may give Apple iPhone 8 further protection from the unscrupulous access of the device.

Apple iPhone 8 Release Date:

According to general trends, Apple has been releasing its iPhone updates in September since many years. So we are expecting to see the new Apple line-ups to be unveiled in September of 2017.

  1. I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The issue is something which too few men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I found this during my hunt for something relating to this.
